Vape Related Includes:

Single Use, Banks, Cells, (NO THC VAPE PRODUCTS ALLOWED)

Household Includes:

Single-use Batteries

Alkaline Single-use Batteries:

Includes AA, AAA, D, 9-volt, 6-volt, etc.

Powers everyday household electronics like TV remotes, toys, flashlights.

Pros: Widely available, initially cheaper.

Cons: Considered wasteful, not rechargeable.

Button Cell Batteries:

Powers small devices like watches, car keyless remotes, hearing aids.

Pros: Targeted for recycling due to recoverable materials.

Cons: Contains hazardous materials, appeal to children.

Rechargeable Batteries

Rechargeable Household Electronics:

Common in cordless products like vacuums, toothbrushes, power tools.

Pros: Cost-effective over time, mandated recycling by law.

Cons: Higher upfront cost, heavy metal content.

WHAT WE REJECT

  • THC Vape Products

  • Car, Motorcycle, Scooter, or other Vehicle batteries (Lead-acid batteries and/or LiPo)

  • Batteries over 2.5 lbs in weight

  • Batteries with visible damage or corrosion

  • Other prohibited battery types, including damaged or hazardous batteries

Note: Vapes and e-cigarettes are restrictive and may only be dropped off at participating smoke shops, vape shops, and dispensaries. Please visit our Vape specific locator map for more information.

NOTE: Please use electrical tape to cover any open leads on batteries. Most common on invividual cells, 9Volt and Power tools. Please ensure batteries are fully discharged before putting in the ResQ Bin.
